Montana Agate - dress ring
A fabulous translucent Montana Agate. The stone takes the centre stage here. With an open back setting to amp up the glow. I wanted the ring shank to be part of the whole piece, not just a vehicle, and the result has an Art Deco feel. It sits just over a cm high, but is neither weighty or intrusive to wear.
If you fancy one of these in your size, I’ve got a few pieces of this agate in stock, just send me a message. Stones are in the images.
Montana Agate is found along the Yellowstone river bed. It’s a type of microcrystalline quartz formed through the gradual accumulation of mineral deposits from water trickling through the pockets of debris left by sequoias and redwoods as they were trapped in lava flow. Isn’t that fantastic?!
